A few years ago, I began highlighting my Bible in a different color each year—pink, orange, yellow, blue. After four years, the rainbow pages gave me a sense of accomplishment. But then a thought nagged me: If the Bible is my guide for life, shouldn’t there be something to glean on every single page?
So I set myself a challenge. Flipping through my well-worn Bible, I paused on every page without a margin note. I refused to move on until I had found something worth writing down. That journey took me a very, very long time—focusing, staying still in God’s Word, listening for something meant just for me. Now, I’m sharing those notes here—one verse at a time, starting with Genesis.
