Bible Notes: God Hovers (Gen 1:2)

in

My scribbles while meditating . . .

“The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.” — Genesis 1:2

Even when there was nothing to watch over, God hovered.
No valuables, no lives at risk, nothing to protect. There was literally nothing. Yet God stayed—watching, hovering.

And He hovers over me too. Even when I feel like nothing, when I count myself unworthy, His presence whispers otherwise. His hovering declares that I matter, that I have value to Him.
