Growing up in Salisbury Park*, jumping rope was essential. One absolutely had to know how to jump rope to have a modicum of coolness. Up and down the road we went, jumping rope while reciting silly rhymes. Very often our fate and mate were determined by where in the rhyme we tripped over the rope.
Yeah, I used to jump rope. But not like this guy. Had I had his skill, the rhyme and the rope would have put me in a castle with a prince by my side.
