Personal Ramblings

deceiving ads

I love the bargains that come with summers, a time when 25% of the community is moving, cleaning, or downsizing. And  then there ‘s the estate sales–that’s when the people die before they had a chance to move, clean, or downsize. It is in this hot hustle, that I find treasures.
I am discriminating; I only read ads that have pictures. So I’m here scrolling down craigsllist, clicking on those that say “pic” in bright yellow. And I see an auction happening just 20 miles from home. So I click, expecting what you would expect—pictures of stuff being auctioned.  What I found instead was a close-up of a traditional Oregonian decked out in his gallon-hat and assorted denim wear.
